Trump Defends Susie Wiles, Slams “Fake News” Over Report

President Trump is once again taking direct aim at the media, this time over reporting involving longtime ally Susie Wiles.

In remarks highlighted by Rapid Response 47, Trump dismissed the story outright, saying it was a “FAKE story” and accusing the press of knowingly pushing false information. He also made clear that Wiles still has his full confidence.

“The Susie Wiles story was a FAKE story. She has been incredible… They made up Fake News, they released it knowing it was a fake story. Susie is here — and she’s gonna be here for a long time.”

The statement is the latest example of Trump going on offense against what he sees as a hostile media determined to create division inside his political operation. Rather than allowing anonymous reports and insider speculation to shape the narrative, Trump publicly shut it down and reaffirmed Wiles’ importance.

For supporters, the message is simple: Trump is standing by one of his key loyalists and calling out media manipulation in real time. At a moment when every internal rumor gets amplified into a major storyline, Trump’s response shows he has little patience for what he views as manufactured controversy.

Wiles has long been seen as a central figure in Trump’s political circle, and his comments leave no doubt that he wants the public to know she remains in place. The bigger story, according to Trump, is not the rumor itself — but the willingness of the media to run with a narrative he says was false from the start.
As the 2026 political landscape continues to heat up, clashes between Trump and the press remain a defining feature of the national conversation. This latest dispute only adds fuel to that battle.
